Soroptimist Fireworks Booth

Soroptimist is an international organization that promotes the social and economic mobility of women and girls. All proceeds raised go directly back to our local community partners such as WEAVE, Women's Empowerment, Opening Doors, and many others.  The Northern California Soroptimist Club is having a fireworks stand to raise funds, and is looking for young volunteers age 18+ to help.  Shifts will be 4-5 hours long, running every day from June 28 - July 4.  Volunteers may complete 1 shift or multiple, simply sign up below to be contacted regarding shift availability.

Placer Nature Center Work Day

Placer Nature Center shares a 60-acre site with the California Conservation Corps, and has the mission to deliver community-based, volunteer-supported environmental education program to children, families, schools, and community groups. Come out for this work day to help with vegetation management and other landscaping that needs to get done to keep this amazing organization spruced up this summer!

KidsFirst Summer Enrichment Program - Auburn

Help at KidsFirst summer proram, working with younger children, assisting with indoor and outdoor activities, arts and crafts, etc!  Begins July 10, runs Mondays - Wednesdays 9:45am - 12pm until July 26.  This is the perfect summer volunteer opportunity for high school and college students!

Disability-Awareness Volunteer Appreciation Picnic

A Touch of Understanding is a local organization with a mission to encourage acceptance and respect for all individuals and to minimize the discrimination, bullying, and misunderstanding experienced by children and adults who are perceived as different for any reason, but especially for those with disabilities.  Their operation is almost entirely dependent on volunteers, and this picnic takes a moment to thank them!

Walk for Wishes

Make-A-Wish Foundation grants the wish of every child diagnosed with a life-threatening medical condition. Walk for Wishes is their annual 1K/5K community walk/run to fundraise for their cause! Many current and past Wish Kids come out to participate, paying it forward and sharing the magic they have experienced with others. Volunteers are needed for various jobs, ages 14 and up (14 & 15 year-olds must be accompanied by an adult). Come support this magical day!

Glow for Gold Gala for Childhood Cancer

Fundraiser for Keaton Raphael Memorial, an organization that supports families affected by childhood cancer through informational resources, process guidance, financial assistance, and emotional support. This fundraiser is an elegant black-and-white evening including dinner, cocktails, and an auction. Volunteers may sign up for partial, 2-hour shifts, but the full shift is preferred. Dinner and snacks will be provided for all volunteers. Volunteers must be 21+.
